Live Realtime Captioning

Live Onsite CART/Realtime Captioning: We attend your event and provide captions either for one person or for a group of people or for a large auditorium of people via laptop, monitor, projection to screen, jumbotrons, LED displays, tablets, smartphones, mobile devices with access to the Internet. (Extra equipment fees may apply) May also combine onsite and remote captioning as needed.

Live Remote CART/Realtime Captioning: We attend your class or event via the Internet and provide captions. You provide the audio via the Internet or conference call. We work with a variety of remote platforms and may be able to work within your existing remote platform that your organization is already using for remote classes, webinars, and other Internet-based communications that need captioning! 

Solo Captioning and Team Captioning are available as needed.

Pre-recorded Audio or Video 
& Closed-captioning/subltitles for Videos 

We provide closed captioning/subtitling for videos. You provide the video to us, we return it with closed captions or subtitles. This service helps your organization to be ADA Compliant if videos are shown in classeses, meetings, or other venue where captioned videos are required.



We also provide an electronic transcript file of your audio or video. Several formats supported. Time-coding available if needed. Must be requested before captioning begins.

We provide video or audio-matched notes/transcripts. 

Video or audio-matched notes are strictly verbatim depending upon quality of audio or video and are compared with the audio or video recording for exact wording. Notes are generated from an offline captioning session which is not live material.

Notes/Transcripts 

Currently, we have two levels of electronic notes available from live realtime captioning sessions (extra fees may apply). These notes are not certifiable legal transcripts. 

While we do have court-reporters who are captioners on our team, they are filling the need of communication access only when providing CART services and are not acting as an official reporter even if providing CART service in court.

Time-coding of notes is available and must be requested before the captioning session begins. Various formats of notes are available. We do our best to work with your timeline for turnaround of notes and transcripts. Turnaround of notes is established at time of order. In special cases where notes require expediting, no problem! 

We go the extra mile for you and your organization!

1. Rough Draft / Clean Notes. We create a rough draft that is pretty clean (however, includes limitations inherent to realtime captioning). Client can make any final touches to make transcript web-ready, or we can provide in Word, PDF, or other desired format. 


We fix misstrokes, some punctuation, run a spell-check, perform light editing, and verify proper names to the extent possible. We utilize materials provided by client which may include printed material such as agendas, PowerPoints handouts (or electronic file), programs, as well as research online to verify spellings of proper nouns. 

Such are not thoroughly proofread notes. Notes are nearly verbatim and are generated from the actual CART/realtime captioning session. 
    
2. Proofread Notes/Transcripts - We do the work to create a rough draft or "clean notes" as described above, then notes are proofread in detail and punctuation is corrected. 

Client may need to fill in any proper nouns that were missed from the CART/Captioning session. Notes are not compared with a recording of the event unless special arrangements are made. Notes are not strictly verbatim. Notes are nearly verbatim and are generated from the actual CART/realtime captioning session. The advantage is the notes are as clean as possible based on the CART/Captioning session. This is beneficial when distributing to others or posting to the organization's website.

ASL Interpreting

Please inform us if you need American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreters in connection with realtime captioning for your next class, meeting or event. We have a network and referral system that leads to great interpreting along with great captioning.

We have excellent referrals for all levels of interpreting.
