Demo of moving captions with video (using Text-on-Top, YouTube):
- We are very excited to have implemented one of the newest and latest technologies that layers captions directly on to your laptop's screen, Prezi or PowerPoint presentations (top, bottom, sides), while allowing you to run another program in the background.
- Or, you can use it FULL SCREEN. As with other equipment, this is an add-on, but WOW, it allows a person to see the captions from their own computers, if desired, wirelessly for ONSITE live realtime captioning!! We've been using this technology since 2014 and have had excellent feedback from clients. This works very well for classroom and meeting situations when the CART Captioner is not sitting next to the CART viewer. CART Captioning can be presented on a projector, Hi Def TV/Monitor, or personal computer or laptop using this particular wireless technology.
- Simply request Text-on-Top for your next ONSITE captioned event. We are happy to announce that since we have implemented Text-onTop this has become one of the most widely used wireless devices by many captioners. Now, in 2015, most captioners are familiar with Text-on-Top and use it regularly. The Text-on-Top was introduced and demonstrated to Captioners and Court Reporters in the United States in August 2014 at the National Court Reporters Association conference and we have been using the technology with satisfied clients ever since.
- Other wireless options are: GotoMeeting, GotoWebinar, JoinMe.com, Streamtext.Net, Adobe Connect, GoogleHangouts, Skype, BlackBoard Collaborate, WebEx, just to name a few. We can stream live captions along with your live webinar or video.
- We are happy to demo any of our CART/Captioning display technologies, both wired and wireless and explain how it all works!!

DEMO VIDEO #4 - Realtime Captioning (aka CART - Communication Access Realtime Translation):
Video Credit: The following educational video was prepared by UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON and is broadcasted on YouTube.
- Since we first posted the videos on this page (in 2014, Source: YouTube), we have had a tremendous response from both the general public as well as the Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing and captioning communities. More recently, you may have noticed that these videos are gaining popularity and momentum on social media because of their relevance in increasing awareness of the needs of persons who are Deaf and Hard-of-hearing and how these individuals benefit from realtime CART Captioning.
- At Diana Brandin Realtime Captioning & ASL, we would like to increase awareness of the need for communication access in a variety of settings, especially in line with the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. (ADA)
After viewing the video, see for yourself how...
- CART Captioning INSPIRES LEARNING and ENGAGEMENT.
